The Skol Hop

Thanks for checking out The Skol Hop! We (Austin & Evan) are just a couple of dudes from Iowa who love drinking beer and talking about the Minnesota Vikings. The idea to start a podcast was simply borne out of regular chats between the two of us, often involving beer and the Vikings. One day we asked ourselves, "What would happen if we put a few microphones in front of us and recorded our conversations?" So, here we are! I've been a die-hard Vikings fan ever since the early 2000's when Evan moved to my Iowa hometown and introduced me to the team. Through the years I've loved (and sometimes hated) the roller coaster that is being a Vikings fan and I'm so excited that Evan and I started The Skol Hop. I'm doing my best to pass down my love of the Vikings to my 3 kids, even if I need to use ice cream to do it! Welcome fellow Skol Hoppers, SKOL!

As a native Minnesotan, the Vikings have always been my favorite team. I lived in Minnesota until age 10 when my family moved to this far-away land called Iowa. One of my first friends in Iowa was Austin. Little did we know that our friendship and love of the Vikings would someday lead to a podcast!
